Stanoplex-5 is prescribed for chronic infections, for conditions such as extensive surgery, (corticosteroid-induced Myopathy, decubitus ulcers, burns), or severe trauma wich require reversal of catabolic processes or protein-sparing effects. This is used in addition to, and not as replacements for, conventional treatment for these disorders.

Stanoplex-5 is effective in raising hemoglobin concentrations in some cases of aplastic anemia (congenital of idiopathic).

Stanoplex-5 is used in the treatment of hereditary angiodema

Stanoplex-5 is indicated in the treatment of conditions associated with decreased fibrinolytic activity due to antithrombin II deficiency or excess fibrogen. These conditions may include cutaneous vasculiutis, scleroderma of Ryanaud´s disease, vasculitis of Behcet´s disease and complications of deep vein thrombosis such as venous lipodermatosclerosis. Stanozoloi is indicated in the prevention of recurrent venous thrombosis associated with antithrombin II deficiency Stanozoloi may be of benefit in patients susceptible to or with a history of thromboembolism for treatment of vascular disorders associated with these forms of reduced fibrinolytic activity.
